AQUALUX TETHYS is specifically designed for growers who want to sustainably discharge drain and waste water into nature. Tethys - named after the Greek Goddess of fresh water - is a small size, very affordable UV-C water purification system, that allows water to be safely discharged without risk of damaging the environment.

When recirculating drain water it is often necessary to discharge water after a few cycles. The water going back to nature often contains leftover pesticides and fertilizers that can seriously affect wildlife and the environment.
Tethys uses the power of UV-C light and Hydroperoxide to neutralize these substances in drain water and changes them into environmentally friendly water and CO2. Water that has been purified by Tethys is then completely safe to return to its source in nature.
